Kingdom Counselling

Alastair (or Ally for short) is a registered and qualified counsellor practising in Dundee and St Andrews. He qualified to practise in 2009 and has since worked for the University of Dundee, the Robert Gordon University, University of St Andrews, Abertay University and Insight Counselling in Dundee.

As such he has gained experience in supporting people with problems such as low mood/depressive illness, anxiety, bereavement, stress, low confidence/self-esteem, relationship difficulties, anger or surviving abuse. He now offers counselling at Kingdom Chiropractic Clinic at a competitive rate.

Counselling is proven to help most people experiencing emotional or psychological distress. It is a series of face-to-face confidential meetings. The therapeutic value of counselling lies in the experience of being fully understood, positively regarded and being able to open and honest. He will be able to suggest therapeutic tasks that can help you make positive changes. These are based on cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and narrative therapies.

A counselling session costs £35, however an initial consultation is available for just £20. This is an opportunity for you to meet Ally with no obligation to continue counselling sessions. You and Ally will be able to make a joint assessment of the problem and consider the best way forward for you. A sliding scale fee is available for students and those who might struggle to pay the £35 fee.

To book an appointment with Ally please speak to staff at the chiropractic clinic, email [email protected], phone 07732 985928 or visit www.kingdomcounselling.co.uk.
